About Dawn

Dawn Jones is a production stills photographer in the motion picture industry. As a 27 year member of the International Cinematographers Guild, she provides on set and behind the scenes images for press kits and advertising promotion. Photography has taken her around the globe including Antarctica where she captured imagery that helped tell the story of the challenges to our climate. Her images were auctioned at 10:10 in London, and the Ace Gallery in Los Angeles on behalf of Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project to help raise awareness regarding climate change. Her photography has been published in various books, and magazines including Architectural Digest, Texas Architect, Cowboys and Indians, and Polo Magazine. When not on film location, Dawn spends time with her husband on their ranch in San Saba, Texas where she assists in organizing their wildlife management, Brangus cow calf operation, and land management of removing non indigenous plants while preserving native biodiversity. Her ranch experience offers opportunities to share and learn with Texas’ top agronomists at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas where she serves as an advisory board member. Dawn has been involved in polo since meeting her husband 24 years ago. She has won the Women’s US Open twice, once awarded the game MVP, recently played in the historic Argentine Women’s Open 2017, and over the years, won the Outback 14 goal league, and played in the mixed 26 goal US Open.
