As early as I could remember, I’ve loved horses. I am so grateful to my parents, who recognized this passion even though they were not horse people themselves. They gave me the gift of riding lessons at the age of 7 and I was forever changed. I’ve been fortunate enough to have incredible instructors and mentors every step of the way, who exposed me to the world of dressage, jumping, cross-country, and now polo. I owe my new found love and passion for this great sport to Erica Gandomcar-Sachs, who has guided me and taught me the ins and outs of polo as well as enhancing my world to all things horse-related. Under her tutelage over the past 8 year, I’ve learned I too can be a polo player and the sky’s the limit! I am so fortunate to have played Erica’s ponies for my first 4 years of arena polo and then my dreams came true…I got my first polo pony in 2014. Redo is my true partner in crime and has taken me to the next level. In addition to polo, Redo and I enjoy so many things in the off-season, including trail riding, fox hunting, jumping and barrel racing! I think the best part, about this polo adventure, is that I now share this passion and love of polo and horses with my daughter Abby. We’ve been fortunate enough to travel to Florida and Jamaica to play (and hopefully, other destinations soon, too). There is nothing better than playing with her and her pony, Maggie, and seeing her excel in this great sport! Lastly, the polo family that we are a part of is what I love most – I couldn’t imagine our lives without it!
