About Lucy

Lucy Coddington (Taylor before marrying in 2017) has a string of horses in the UK and in NZ where she plays based with her husband Jonny. Lucy was part of the first all female team not only to enter but to win the HPA mixed 8 goal Gerald Balding at Cirencester Park in 2007 and the Holden White at Cowdray Park. 42 teams made up of predominantly male professionals entered the Holden White in 2008 and the team of Lucy, Nina, Tamara and Emma won. In 1999 Lucy was part of team Apartur, the first open ladies match to be played at Palermo in Argentina. In 2009 she played an all female team in the Argentine Estimulo 12 goal mixed tournament. Lucy has one daughter with her husband Jonny. Her father and brother are polo players. Lucy helped Monique Archer establish the battle of the sexes tournament in Barbados in 2002 and it continues to this day. Lucy’s most recent win was the poverty bay open in New Zealand alongside her husband in January 2019.

Notable Accomplishments

Awarded best female at the Audi polo awards in 2013 Awarded MVP in the French Open 2016, which her team won Winner of British and French ladies opens Winner of Gerald Balding, Holden White, and many wins representing England. 2019 UK part of team La Rouletta, won victrix ladorum 18 goal ladies.
