Stephanie (Massey) Colburn, DVM, is originally from Texas, but currently living in south Florida practicing small animal veterinary medicine with her husband Benjamin Colburn, DVM. Stephanie has been playing polo about 15 years and she has always had a passion for horses. Stephanie was first introduced to the sport of polo while her family was living in Jakarta, Indonesia. Stephanie played both Interscholastic and Intercollegiate polo, representing Texas A&M University during her collegiate years. She was selected for the Team USPA program in 2012 and is now an honorary member, giving back to the group through equine veterinary talks. Stephanie is a certified outdoor and arena umpire and enjoys teaching. Stephanie’s polo travels have taken her across the US, Indonesia, Guatemala, Argentina, and India.
Stephanie began teaching under the guidance of Cissie Snow as a camp counselor at the Brushy Creek Summer Polo Camps. Stephanie continued teaching new club members at the Texas A&M Polo Club throughout her collegiate polo career and veterinary school. Once Stephanie became a member of Team USPA she helped teach polo school at the Big Horn Polo Club in WY and several summers at the Santa Fe Polo Club in Santa Fe, NM. Stephanie has also had the pleasure of instructing ladies internationally in India on the Polo Yatra tours in 2017 and 2019.
